DAVID'S STORY

THE PROGRAMME
A.C.T.I.O.N.
The carefully composed schedule covers six principles of recovery, each underpinned with corresponding movements or strategies that can be easily adopted into busy daily schedules:
A – Avoidance
Healthcare professionals often advise sufferers to avoid certain activities, which can in fact hamper recovery. The webinar provides an opportunity to evaluate whether avoidance is negatively impacting symptoms and, if so, how best to respond.
C - Context
Learn how the context in which activities are practised can drastically change how they are experienced. Understanding context’s powerful impact on mind, body and pain can aid CPPS recovery.
T – Timing
Explore why conducting the right movement activity at the right time is key to long-term relief from pelvic pain. Also learn to recognise when a reduction in activity will help prevent a flare-up.
I – Individual
Each person’s experience of CPPS is unique, so when it comes to treatment, one size does not fit all. We respect each individual, enabling webinar participants to create personalised movement strategies to support their healing.
O – Optimal
An optimal level of activity is crucial for relief from CPPS. Finding the ideal sweet spot can both support and speed recovery. Webinar participants will be encouraged to experiment with how their body responds to movement and activity, opening the door to living pain free.
N – No looking back
CPPS sufferers are often stuck in a painful rut and unsure where to turn. Our webinar will challenge participants to view things differently and not to be defined by what they cannot do. By focusing on the plethora of positive possibilities, together with planning, goal setting and projecting to a CPPS-free future, there will be no looking back.
